WTF is oDesk?  oDesk is an Internet startup that provides an online marketplace for hiring global technical talent AND visual web-based collaboration tools to manage remote teams.  We recently raised $8M from Benchmark Capital, which we immediately used to purchase some totally pimped-out oDesk t-shirts (limited amounts available for early Lunch 2.0 attendees).  Beyond all the usual web 2.0 jive talk, our products are in production, we’re generating substantial revenue, and we’re growing.  Come join us Friday for a Late Lunch, and tell us about your latest project… we’ll show you our stuff too, and maybe you can even use oDesk to hire a few geeks to help build your next startup.

OK cool, r u Hiring?  YES, we’re hiring!  oDesk is pretty geeky and proud of it.  But if you’ve seen our website you know we could use a little help with our design skillz.  If you know an awesomely talented UI designer or graphics guru that could help us keep up with the Web 2.0 Joneses, we’d love to hear about them… as well as other alpha geek engineers, developers, and product managers.  We need more of those folks too.

To RSVP, leave a comment here on this blog entry along with your e-mail address. Don’t worry, your e-mail addy won’t be published, but we’ll be using it to track who is a RSVPed attendee.
