We might have forgot to mention this but Joseph Smarr has a great writeup of the origins of Lunch 2.0.
If, on the other hand, you think 19th century Russian writers were a bit on the laconic side, then my writeup might be more up your alley.

Heh, this is definitely the first time one of my blog posts has been the “concise option”!
But if you have the time, Terry’s writeup is so worth it to read through. The two posts don’t actually overlap much in terms of information, so you won’t be wasting your time (well, any more than you already are by reading either of these, heh).

Mark Jen had asked me to host at AOL back when we were sneaking in cafeterias. I mentioned to Mark that we might have to pay for our own lunch and go to the cafeteria where we jaywalk across the street.
