Lunch 2.0 yesterday was at the complex formerly known as Netscape, a.k.a. the AOL Mountain View Development center.
The entire place was decorated with various AOL screen names.
and I was happy to see that Lunch 2.0 was among them, even if we don’t have an AOL account:

Once again, another successful Lunch 2.0 at SimplyHired! We’re starting to attract quite a crowd, I think we had more than 20 people today :-O

Supposedly, they’ve got some mad hook-ups for simply amazing Indian food… and of course, who can resist a free Lunch 2.0!
Lunch 2.0 was hosted today at SimplyHired and we had some good mediterranean food. The Lunch 2.0 crowd is starting to grow and diversify which is awesome. Over the past few lunches, we’ve had people from Yahoo, AOL, Google, Microsoft, Eurekster, A9, and more!

Lunch at Plaxo was great for Thursday’s Lunch 2.0. It was my first time going there and really nice to see their diggs. Since I work for a non-startup in an old start-up environment (AOL), it was really cool to see a pure start-up environment:).
What I liked most (outside of the food.. Chevy’s) was the openness of the area and building. There were no cubes and the workspace was real open … reminded me of those late nights in the computer lab, except there was no funny smell or dirty keyboards:
Also it was nice to see where the real work got done What startup isn’t complete without one of these?:
There were great conversations that occurred over food…let’s see we have new ideas for a personalized web browser with a special privacy icon… new xml markup languages, and a search engine with a lemon twist.
Best of all was the generosity of our hosts Terry & Mark, and Plaxo. Thanks guys!
Just got back from Lunch 2.0 at the Googolplex and it was quite tasty. We went to the relatively new Pacific Cafe and had us some good sushi, noodles, and thai ice tea. Take a look at some pictures I snapped.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to Google and my have they grown. The main cafeteria is packed! Really nice weather today though, can’t really complain
